Next Meeting – Saturday, April 19, 2025

Usual location – Glenwood Springs branch library, 815 Cooper Avenue 

Time: 9:30 a.m. first arrivals and setup, meeting starts at 10:00 a.m.

This meeting will be held in the upstairs classroom.  As always coffee and donuts will be provided, as well as the drawing for door prizes.  You are welcome to bring your show and tell items or for sale items.

Among other topics, we will conduct the vote to authorize the expenditures to enhance the reliability of the repeater network.

The program will be conducted by Mike KØMF on Vee Beam antennas in general, and versions for portable and Field Day use.   Even if you don’t care about the vee antenna itself, my presentation should also provide some good insight about how the EZNEC software enables modeling and experimentation with different configuration scenarios.

Hello all, the next radio build workshop will be this Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the same room as the club meeting.

Bring your PICO-2 (installed or not) and I will program it.

I will pass out the next kit items that include the power supply, front-end-BPF (band pass filter), and the mixer.

Good news. I’ve had a lot of success with the DSP board; able to program it.  So, I’m designing the audio tail end as originally planned.  Great narrow band CW and SSB.

Radio sounds, in a word:  ‘Fantastic’  just like its name.  Speaker amp and headset too.
