The program for the SCARC in-person meeting on Saturday October 18 (10AM at the library) will include 2 presenters.
First, Christine Burke N0IM will provide an overview of the WSPR system that provides insight to weak signal propagation..
Next, our guest presenter, Barry Kutner, W2UP, (on QRZ DX), QTH Littleton CO, provides very interesting insight into the international high speed telegraphy (HST) competition. This is most popular in Europe and Russia with both young and old operators, so there is a strong international flavor to the content. Even if you’re not a CW user, you’ll find this quite fascinating. You’ll also see a high level of interest from young ops. Barry shares many photos and information on his experiences traveling throughout Europe and competing in this challenging competition.
In addition, we will again make available the remainder of the used equipment for sale thanks to Neil’s gracious donation to the Club. Proceeds go to the Club treasury.
Please make every effort to attend!
FYI, our presenter at the September meeting, Violetta Latham KN2P, is now on her way to Raratonga and then to North Cook Is. Your generous donations were a HUGE help! She sends her thanks and gratitude to the Club. She hopes to work you all from E51.
